Education minister appeals for help from students and parents
The education minister has admitted government needs to 'get a lid' on rising absences within Island schools.
Winter illnesses and Covid-19 are creating problems particularly at Ballakermeen and QEII high schools.
So far this term 358 positive cases of Coronavirus have been recorded within educational settings.
Dr Alex Allinson says he understands if parents, and students, are feeling anxious but is asking for help bringing the situation under control:
