The Treasury Minister says the Government Unified Pension Scheme is being looked at.
The issue arose on the latest edition of Manx Radio's Present Politics programme.
Two of the guests, Middle MHK Howard Quayle and Vice-Chair of Patrick Commissioners David Talbot, said they couldn't understand why the final salary scheme was still being used, when it was clearly unsustainable.
