Plan to use accommodation to help with self-isolation
The education department is contacting all Manx university students to see when they are planning to return home for Christmas.
Minister Dr Alex Allinson says it will help government plan a smooth home-coming.
He also revealed talks are taking place with the hospitality sector to accommodate those who can't safely self-isolate at home for 14 days.
Dr Allinson is hoping the Island rallies to support students who have faced unprecedented conditions:
