Spokesperson debunks 'social media chatter'
Government says there's 'no truth' to claims that the Best Western Palace Hotel and Casino in Douglas is being used to house people at the taxpayers' expense.
A spokesperson told Manx Radio it has seen 'some social media chatter' on the topic; but confirmed that the insinuations are false.
Earlier this month, rumours emerged on social media that the 'top floor' of the hotel was 'being taxpayer funded to house people for free'.
Manx Radio contacted government for comment at the time.
