Former communications head says government should have been better prepared
It's been suggested that government should have been better prepared for reaction to the rise in income tax this year.
The higher rate was increased by two percent to cover health spending, taking it to 22 percent.
The move faced heavy criticism by the public, unions and some business sectors.
Speaking on Manx Radio's Perspective, journalist and former government press officer Alistair Ramsay says what then followed was not impressive:
Contractors to start installing 20mph signs in Douglas and Onchan
Road closures in place following incident in Hillberry area
Accessible bus stops rolled out across Bus Vannin network
£1 million National AI Office launched to coordinate artificial intelligence policy and adoption
Confusion over cause of issues for IOM residents selling on Vinted
