Government is continuing to offer support to local businesses looking to gain the necessary accreditation to sell their products to Tesco.
That's according to the chief minister as he answered a question in Tynwald today (10 December).
Alfred Cannan said while the takeover of all Shoprite stores has been positive in terms of the level of investment and additional job creation there are still several challenges with food producers and suppliers being needed to gain the necessary documents.
Mr Cannan added the requirement, which is common place in the UK and other countries, is a 'step change' for many local businesses here:
