'Plenty we need to fix' says new man in charge
The Isle of Man’s most senior civil servant has pledged to change the culture within government.
Caldric Randall addressed the public service in a video message following a string of resignations and retirements of senior officers.
This includes the former treasury minister,chief secretary, director of Public Health, chief executive of the Department of Health and Social Care and executive director of the Office of Human Resources.
The video comes after an employment tribunal found the Island’s former medical director was unfairly dismissed for whistle blowing.
Mr Randall, who is now the interim chief secretary, acknowledged that some colleagues may not have had the right work environment to be the best they can:
