Courthouse lacks gravitas says MHK
The swearing in of the Island's next Lieutenant Governor should take place in Castle Rushen - that's the view of Arbory Castletown and Malew MHK Graham Cregeen.
Last year the current Governor Sir Richard Gozney was sworn in at Douglas Courthouse, after Manx National Heritage deemed the medieval castle unfit for purpose.
Mr Cregeen says the Courthouse lacks the proper gravitas and the ceremony should return to the ancient capital, ensuring traditions continue.
He told Manx Radio it would be a shame for the Island to loose this part of Manx heritage:
