IOM Cycling Association pens letter to politicians
The Isle of Man Cycling Association has penned an open letter to politicians, calling on them to tackle speed on Manx roads to help those on 'all forms of transport'.
It's calling for government to introduce a 20mph speed limit in towns and villages, and 30mph limit on narrow rural roads.
The group's described lockdown as a 'real life experiment', where accident numbers fell dramatically with speed limits restricted.
Rob Holden from Isle of Man Cycling says statistically, the Island's road incidents don't fare too well in comparison to the UK:
