Chief minister chairs meeting of Economic Strategy Board
The treasury minister is expected to make an announcement before the end of the week regarding further financial support in light of the rising cost of living.
Chief Minister Alfred Cannan chaired a meeting of the Economic Strategy Board yesterday.
He says the board agreed the immediate priority had to be to protect the Island's most vulnerable, however also agreed more needed to be done to help others beyond those groups.
It's as energy bills, in particular, have seen a significant rise over the course of the last year.
The Council of Ministers is due to meet on Tuesday before meeting with all members of Tynwald to consider wider support.
