Chief minister quizzed over how such a scheme would be funded
Government is expected to announce new proposals as part of efforts to support jobs in the hospitality sector.
The Department for Enterprise and Treasury have held a series of talks since a 'call to arms' meeting, which saw hospitality bosses calling for VAT reforms and to address a lack of available workers.
When questioned over where the funding will come from, the chief minister was unable to give a direct response.
Onchan MHK Julie Edge hit out, claiming Alfred Cannan is out of touch with reality and collecting funds from a 'magic money tree'.
