Hotel proprietor hopes new-builds won't damage existing trade
Government must be 'very careful' if it plans to increase the amount of tourist accommodation available on the Isle of Man.
That's according to one figure in the hotel industry after a new 10 year Visitor Economy Strategy was published.
As well as aims to attract half-a-million visitors a year by 2032, one of the objectives is to develop 500 new hotel, and serviced accommodation, bedrooms.
Michael George - the joint-proprietor of the Welbeck Hotel in Douglas - says it's important those plans don't damage trade for existing businesses:
