Treasury Minister says overspending isn't acceptable
Government needs to "get a grip" on its spending on taxpayer-funded projects like the Douglas promenade scheme and the new Liverpool ferry terminal.
That's the view of Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan, who says his office is looking into establishing a 'capital projects unit' to monitor spending.
It comes after several major capital projects during the current administration have missed their completion dates and run over budget.
Mr Cannan says the current situation isn't good enough:
