The gift was accompanied by a letter from the chief minister
In celebration of Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee, a brooch in the shape of the Isle of Man has been sent to her.
The brooch - made locally on the Island - is accompanied by a letter from the chief minister on behalf of the government.
In a statement, Alfred Cannan said it was an 'honour to send the brooch as a token of respect and hopes it rekindles fond memories of Her Majesty's visits to the Island throughout her reign.'
The ‘Infinity Isle of Man’ brooch design embeds four gems of Blue Topaz, Citrine, Amethyst and Emerald to represent the towns of Ramsey, Peel, Castletown and the city of Douglas.
As part of the celebrations, local schoolchildren will receive a Platinum Jubilee medal from the Manx government and jubilee beacons will be lit over the extended weekend.
