Scheme put before Tynwald next week
Government wants to double the number of residents who walk or cycle to work over the next seven years.
The Active Travel Scheme, which is being put before Tynwald next week, wants to make cleaner, healthier modes of travel 'normal and realistic choices' for all.
Around 14% of Islanders walk or cycle regularly - it's hoped this will grow to 30% by 2025.
The scheme could influence decisions around future highways projects, the creation of cycle lanes and pedestrianised zones.
Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer wants us to ditch the car in favour of being active.
