Prospect says offer must reflect inflation and tax increase
Members of one of the trade unions that represents government workers are keen to see progress on a 2024-25 pay award.
The Public Services Commission agreed a 6% increase for civil servants in October last year for the current financial year.
With a 2% Income Tax rise announced in this week's Budget, Mick Hewer from Prospect says the union's members want to know how their finances will be affected in the coming 12 months.
He says it's important the offer reflects inflation and the tax increase:
