A grandmother who stabbed her Manx daughter-in-law to death will serve at least 20 years in jail.
58 year old Heather Emmonds appeared for sentencing today after being convicted of murdering Tina Casey, nee Halsall, on Tyneside in February.
Judge John Milford QC today imposed a life sentence, saying she must serve at least 20 years for brutally stabbing Miss Casey to death while her son played computer games upstairs.
Newcastle Crown Court heard Emmonds snapped after Miss Casey said she was planning to move back to the Isle of Man with her son.
