Stunt being re-scheduled for April
An 83 year old's planned abseil down the TT Grandstand Tower this morning (Sun 10) has been called off.
Bob Leith, from Laxey, was due to carry out the descent to raise money for the Live at Home charity, in memory of his late wife Christine, who died just before Christmas.
However, he says the weather conditions are against him and he's had to cancel it for today.
Mr Leith - who has previously abseiled down Maughold Head and taken part in an 80-length sponsored swim - says he's "disappointed" as he was looking forward to the stunt.
He is now aiming to re-schedule the event to a weekend in April.
