Father gives update after attending Noble's Hospital
UPDATE: Following this report, David got back in touch with Manx Radio to say his son's referral has been revoked and the family is once again 'back to square one'.
Manx Care, which has today confirmed that non-urgent procedures in Liverpool and Manchester have been paused until 31 March, has been approached for clarification.

The father of a 12-year-old boy who contacted Manx Radio after his son was refused access to treatment in Alder Hey for his injured leg says they have now been given the go-ahead.
David O'Brien was told by doctors in England that Manx Care had rejected funding for his son Ruben to be enrolled on a research scheme in Liverpool which would determine the best course of treatment and care.

It follows claims that the Island's health body has 'requested that the Liverpool University Hospitals stop treating Isle of Man patients, except in an emergency, until the end of the financial year'.
David and his family should have been in Alder Hey today, and after a visit to Noble's this morning the matter has changed once again:
Manx Care has been contacted for comment.
"I think Manx Care are not taking into consideration the stress and anxiety that this is causing." - David O'Brien.
David says the wheels are now back in motion to get Ruben back over to the UK for the treatment he was initially prescribed ... and that should've been getting underway today.
