Manx government to submit plans for new ferry terminal
Planning permission for a new £50 million permanent cruise liner terminal at Prince's Dock has been granted by Liverpool City Council.
Officials say the new facility would welcome the 'world's largest super liners', and be built on a suspended deck on the river Mersey, replacing the existing Prince's Jetty.
Further down the city's waterfront at the Princes Half Tide Dock, the Manx Government is expected to submit a planning application for a new £30m+ ferry terminal.
On the Island, plans have been approved by Tynwald in the 2018 Harbours Strategy, for a deep water berth at Douglas harbour to allow cruise liners to dock.
