Installation of additional drainage infrastructure has been completed
Groves Road in Pulrose is reopening following the completion of significant works to install additional drainage infrastructure aimed at reducing flood risk in the area.
The Department of Infrastructure announced that, alongside the drainage improvements, the road has been resurfaced and re-lined.
Both bus stops serving the National Sports Centre have also been upgraded with 'Kassel kerbs' for better accessibility.
Work on the pedestrian crossing is still ongoing; it remains out of use until the final stages of the project are completed in the coming days.
The Department confirmed there was no reason to delay the reopening of the road due to this.
Drivers are advised to remain cautious as pedestrians may be crossing at other points along the road.
