Closure to allow for drainage works
The road outside the National Sports Centre (NSC) is to shut later this week for nearly three months.
Groves Road in Douglas will be closed between the northern and southern entrance to the car park of the NSC.
It will shut at 6am on Thursday (7 November) and will reopen at 6pm on 21 January 2025.
Access to the facility will be maintained throughout, and the existing weight limit on the C729 Pulrose Road, Pulrose Railway Bridge will be suspended.
The closure has been requested by Paul Carey and Sons Ltd on behalf of the Department of Infrastructure so it can install new drainage.
The suspension of the weight limit is to allow for deliveries into the trading estate and the Tesco warehouse.
As a result, some bus services will be impacted.
