
The 121st Manx Music Festival – the Guild – got underway this afternoon (Friday).
The biggest music event in the Island's calendar is once again be based at the Villa Marina.
More than a thousand entrants of all ages – including hundreds of schoolchildren – will compete for a range of awards in music, speech and dance.
Judith Ley, who is covering the event for Manx Radio, says the next eight days will be full of surprises.
