Gum Chewers on the Island are being asked to think pink!
Douglas Council has become the first on the Island to trial specialist chewing gum recycling bins.
32 bright pink "gumdrop" bins have been placed in prominent locations around the capital in the hope that they will be an easy place for gum to be deposited.
Chair of the environmental services advisory committee, Councillor Richie McNicoll, says with investment going into smartening up the centre of Douglas, he hopes it will reduce the amount of time council employees have to spend cleaning the streets of gummy mess
