MHK admits cut and pasting 'somewhat lax'
Onchan MHK Zac Hall has responded to criticism over a controversial speech in the House of Keys this week.
Mr. Hall's lengthy contribution on the Same Sex Marriage Bill attracted accusations it was plagiarised from a number of sources.
He's now issued a statement admitting the speech was 'somewhat lax' but made with 'the best of intent'.
The MHK says he 'apologises unreservedly' to any constituents who've been left disappointed at his performance.
The statement goes on to defend his opposition to the Bill, which he maintains does not offer adequate protection to those with a religious faith and heterosexual couples.
