Southern end to be temporarily resurfaced
The infrastructure minister says he's keen for more temporary resurfacing work to be done on Douglas promenade, to help prevent damage to road users' vehicles.
Ray Harmer's department this week announced it would spend £50,000 from its revenue budget to carry out a short-term fix on the southern end of the prom, similar to what's already been done at the other end.
This will happen while the DoI's full promenade redevelopment plan goes through the planning and financial processes.
Mr Harmer says the temporary resurfacing is necessary, and should be completed quickly:
