Ramsey MHK calls for assessment by committee
A Tynwald committee’s been asked to investigate the way health chiefs handled the transfer of the Island’s endoscopy service.
It was relocated to one site at Noble’s Hospital last week after previously operating at both Noble’s and Ramsey Cottage Hospital.
Health officials say the move will help reduce waiting lists and lead to more follow-up appointments being carried out.
Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper is calling on the Social Affairs Policy Review body to assess the way the Department of Health made public the announcement.
