Some consultants paid 75% more than UK equivalent
The health department could save as much as £1 million per year, if the pay of Manx consultants was in line with the UK average.
That's according to Speaker of the House of Keys Juan Watterson, who chaired the committee which took oral evidence from senior health officials yesterday (Wed 28).
Mr Watterson made the point to health CEO Malcolm Couch that some were being paid 75% more than their UK counterparts.
