Ramsey facility a 'huge asset' - Beecroft
The Health Minister has denied suggestions the operating theatre at Ramsey Cottage Hospital is to close.
And Kate Beecroft says the entire hospital is a ‘huge asset’ which is under utilised and needs to be used more.
Some MHKs and the Ramsey Cottage Hospital League of Friends say they’ve been told the theatre is to shut.
Health chiefs are expected to issue a statement later today (Thursday), also outlining why the decision has been taken to relocate some services, including endoscopy, to Noble’s Hospital.
In a post on Facebook, Mrs Beecroft says the transfer to Noble’s is temporary while work is being carried out on the waiting lists and insists it’s not about saving money.
