Where can savings be made after overspend?
The Health Minister has been taken to task about her department's multi-million pound overspend.
Kate Beecroft and chief executive Malcolm Couch spent more than two-and-a-half hours giving oral evidence this afternoon (Monday) to Tynwald’s public accounts committee.
The £11.1 million overspend centres largely on Noble's Hospital and prompted Mrs Beecroft earlier this year to say the department needs to be more ‘financially prudent’.
During the session, the pair were frequently pressed on where savings were being made.
Mrs Beecroft told Manx Radio it's never easy identifying where efficiencies can be brought in:

Former DOI minister expecting new CRHS to be 'over the £70 million mark'
"Rapid review" into bed capacity at Noble's Hospital
Still 'very low risk' of meningitis outbreak on Island
MHK 'disappointed but not surprised' over secondary school delay
FoI statistics to be published quarterly to improve transparency
