It's better to have a vaccine available for clinically vulnerable children aged 5-11 than not.
That's the message from the Island's health minister after a lower dose of the Pfizer vaccine was approved for use in those in the age group at higher risk from Covid-19.
Full details of the plan to roll out the vaccine will be announced in the New Year - parents of those eligible are asked not to contact 111 to book until more details, including dates for the rollout, have been confirmed.
