Previous studies 'lacking in delivery'
A fundamental review of healthcare funding will lead to real changes, according to the Treasury Minister.
Alfred Cannan says 'endless sums of money' can no longer be given to cover the department's recurring deficit - and would not rule out privatising services as a future option.
The last review of this kind, which took place in 2015, concluded that it was uncertain whether existing budget strategies at the hospital were 'fit for purpose'.
Mr Cannan says previous studies have not tackled the root of the problem:
First in series of 'Isle be Ready' sessions to take place next month
More online services for drivers
New support centre 'an oasis' for cancer patients
Orrisdale Road to close for a month for resurfacing works
