Director of Nursing discusses future demand
The only way the Island's health care system can manage future demand is through adapting new practices and embracing modern technology.
That's the view of the Island's Director of Nursing, Paul Moore.
He says current pressures on the Health Service, and the people who work within it, are unrelenting.
The hospital is seeing viruses and seasonal flu starting earlier, Covid is on the rise again, and patients requiring hospital care are more acutely unwell.
Yesterday (15 September) Manx Care announced mask wearing was to be re-introduced in hospitals due to a spike in Covid-positive patients.
