Urgent question on elective surgery to begin proceedings
Questions about cuts to the Island’s health services will reach the House of Keys today (28 January).
Douglas East MHK Joney Faragher has tabled an urgent question about whether elective surgeries are being reduced.
She wants to ask the DHSC if any other cuts to services are being proposed or planned.

Other issues which will be raised include parking in Castletown Square and the risk of flooding on the Colby River linked to the proposed wind farm.
Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse is asking whether enough information has been gathered ahead of construction on the project.
Other questions include Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper's query on support for businesses transitioning to the Living Wage and how a recent survey about homelessness, which ended yesterday, ties into a subsequent needs audit.
Updates on work at the National Sports Centre pool and the issue of children travelling in groups on the ferry are also on the agenda.
The Food and Drink Festival is also set to be discussed following its cancellation last year.
Meanwhile, in the Legislative Council, the Assisted Dying Bill reaches its final stage alongside the Reproductive Rights Bill.
