Survey findings released today
As members of the House of Keys prepare to debate proposed abortion reforms in detail, a group of Manx healthcare professionals have urged compromise.
Findings of an independent survey, published today (Tuesday), reveal only 13 per cent of Islanders questioned think the unborn child should have no rights until birth.
Meanwhile, 70 per cent think the law should be defined so sex selection abortions are not allowed.
Retired GP Dr Graham McAll, who helped co-ordinate the results, hopes members will now have more accurate information as they consider how Island abortion laws should change.
