Island herd declared TB-free
The Island's cattle have been officially declared 'TB free' according to the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.
Bovine tuberculosis can devastate herds of cows, as well as other livestock and pets.
DEFA says the news comes after years of rigorous scrutiny and gives the Island an upper hand in selling its produce.
DEFA Minister Richard Ronan told Alex Wotton it's great news for the whole economy:
