Extending the service beyond October still possible
Flybe says it is "closely monitoring demand" for services to London Heathrow, but has not 'axed' the route, contrary to reports.
A statement released by the airline says it's "assessing the possibility of exploring any opportunities which may arise that could support a longer term commitment at some point in the future."
At present, the route is scheduled to run until 26 October this year.
However, the option to extend the provision of that service, which was newly-introduced to the 2019 summer timetable, has not been ruled out.
The link from the Island to Heathrow was reinstated on 21 April.
