Cloth Cap favourite to win
An Island businessman could end up becoming the most successful owner in Grand National history today.
Trevor Hemmings will be backing his horse Cloth Cap, who is a 4-1 favourite, to win.
First place would secure Hemmings a fourth victory at the world famous event – something no one has ever achieved before.
He previously won the event with Hedgehunter in 2005, Ballabriggs in 2011 and Many Clouds in 2015.
Hemmings also has a second horse in the event today, Lake View Lad, which takes place at 5.15pm.
A two minutes silence will be held on the course before the start of today's racing.
Jockeys will be invited to wear black armbands following the death of the Duke of Edinburgh.
