Marlene secures five years in upper chamber
Marlene Hendy says she's delighted to have won a seat on the Legislative Council.
She polled 14 votes in a special sitting of the House of Keys to finish fourth in the election.
That secured her the last of the five-year appointments - the others elected are Jane Poole-Wilson, Kate Lord-Brennan and Tanya Humbles.
Kerry Sharpe secured the two-year term on offer following the early retirement of David Anderson.
Marlene Hendy says she is keen to be a part of Tynwald and won't be afraid to introduce legislation from the upper house if merited:-
