Characters to teach story of the village's mining past
A trail taking in the key sites of Laxey's mining heritage is officially launched today.
The Visit Laxey Valley Heritage Trail starts at Christ Church, where visitors can watch a video and find maps of the route.
A launch event takes place in the church from midday.
Researcher Dr Richard Hubbard explains how characters will help explain the history to those embarking on the trail:
