Contingency plans to use the Ben My Chree are being implemented
The Steam Packet has cancelled today's 8.45am and 2.15pm sailings to and from Heysham.
It's as the company responds to a 'technical incident' involving the Manxman.
This morning (19 August), the vessel arrived late into Douglas Harbour and was escorted in by a tugboat.
Contingency plans to use the backup vessel, the Ben My Chree, are also being implemented and a further update will be issued shortly.
The Steam Packet says the relevant authorities have been notified.
Anyone who may be on the affected sailings can amend bookings by contacting the reservations team on 661 661 or 08722 992 992.
Meanwhile, a passenger on this morning's Manxman sailing says they were alerted about the technical issue on board just before 5am.
Megan Carruthers told Manx Radio the captain asked everyone to go to the emergency points on the vessel:
The Steam Packet has been contacted for a comment.
