Minister says Garff creation is right decision
Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne believes merging local authorities will be a boost for efficiency and the local community.
His comments follow the news that three Garff local authorities will merge from May the 1st.
The boards of Laxey, Lonan and Maughold Commissioners are to become one single authority, ahead of this year's Island-wide local authority elections.
