MiQuando wins tender, registration fee up
A new operator has been appointed for Isle of Man Homestay.
Douglas-based MiQuando will take over the running of the scheme, for the TT and Festival of Motorcycling.
The online booking agency takes over from Regency Travel, which had run Homestay on behalf of government for four years until its closure earlier this year.
The annual registration fee will go up to £50, or £75 for two years.
Initial registration previously cost £25, with re registration £15.
MiQuando will be responsible for property inspections, advising on fire safety requirements, marketing, online booking for visitors and assisting hosts with their property website profile.
A new website and interactive online Homestay experience wil be designed.
