Existing patients will have to wait to make routine appointments
Patients at Hillside Dental Practice won't be able to book an exam there for around six months.
It's as the facility tries to cope with increasing demand.
The practice was taken over by Manx Care last year and became 'fully operational' in February.
It's been working through the list of patients who were on the previous provider's books in that time which has highlighted a number who need extra treatment.
Because of this a temporary delay has been put on booking new examinations.
It's believed it will take around five to six months to see the remaining patients that were transferred providing there is a full cohort of staff and depending on the treatment the patients need.
It's hoped this work will be finished by the end of May 2025.
