Family believe she's the oldest resident on the Isle of Man
A woman from Ramsey - believed to be the oldest person on the Isle of Man - is celebrating her 107th birthday today (19 October).
Evelyn Teare was born in India, studied nursing in the UK and then moved to the Isle of Man with her Manx born husband, Douglas Teare, in 1976.
She now resides at the Grove Mount Residential Home.
Evelyn has three sons, six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and another on the way!
According to her son Richard his mum trained at University College Hospital in London, during the Second World War, at the same time novelist Agatha Christie was studying there.
