Charles Guard concerned over approach to funding
A heritage campaigner who's called for the reinstatement of the horse tram tracks between Broadway and the Sea Terminal says a business case for the project is the "biggest fudge" he's seen in Manx politics.
Charles Guard has been reacting to the publication of the document, which will be the subject of a Supplementary Order Paper at this month's sitting of Tynwald.
The business case outlines how the Department of Infrastructure will be seeking £3million of funding, despite the head of railways telling Manx Radio it would cost around £2million in April this year.
Mr Guard says he's concerned by this approach:
Treasury and the Department of Infrastructure have been approached for comment.
