
Victim Support in the Island says its dealing with a number of historic abuse cases triggered by the Jimmy Savile scandal.
The charity's offered counselling to several women seeking help coming to terms with painful experiences from the past, although none with any connection to the Savile inquiry.
It's understood at least one case has been referred to police in the Island.
Victim Support is encouraging anyone who was abused at any time in the past, who'd like to speak to a counsellor in confidence, to come forward.
