A historic painting by a prominent British artist is expected to fetch hundreds of thousands of pounds at auction this week.
Laurence Stephen Lowry's 'The Street With Many Steps (Crowther Street)' is going under the hammer at The Nunnery in Douglas this afternoon (15 September).
Chrystals Auctions is estimating the artwork could fetch between £500,000-£700,000.
The sale is expected to get underway from 3pm, and bidding registrations have already closed.
