End for another Douglas store
It's been confirmed a UK entertainment chain is shutting its Douglas branch in the new year.
HMV, which is in the Strand Shopping Centre, has been open for 20 years - today bosses announced it will close in January 2017.
The high street chain went into administration in 2013, leading to over 100 store closures.
Earlier this year it was announced Sports Direct was to take over the Strand Centre - it's unclear when that deal is expected to be completed.
In the meantime customers are being advised to spend any outstanding gift cards.
