Drama group wins six awards for original play
An original play written by a local drama group has been selected to perform in the All British Winners national drama festival.
The Perfect Gentleman by Hog the Limelight won six awards in the Isle of Man One Act Play Festival, including best play, best dramatic moment, and a special adjudicator award.
Written and directed by Louise Walker, the play is based on the orginal letters from Lieutenant Cyril Walker, a soldier in the First World War, who wrote to his family from the trenches weekly.
Cyril is the great-grandfather of lead actor John Walker.
